Privacy Policy

Tend ("the app", "we", "our") is built on the principle that your home's information belongs to you, and only to you. This policy explains exactly what data Tend handles and how.

1. Data we collect

None. Tend does not collect, transmit to us, sell, share, or rent any personal information. We don't operate any servers, and we have no way to see what you store in the app.

2. Where your data is stored

Everything you enter — home details, maintenance tasks and history, items, rooms, paint colors, contacts, projects, emergency kits, photos, documents and notes — is stored:

• On your device, inside the app's private storage, and
• In your private iCloud account, if you're signed in to iCloud, so it syncs across your own Apple devices. This uses Apple's CloudKit private database, which is encrypted in transit and stored under your Apple Account. Only you can access it — we can't. You can turn sync off in Tend's Settings › Sync & Privacy › iCloud Sync, or turn off iCloud for Tend in Settings › [your name] › iCloud.

3. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS on your device. We don't operate a notification server and never see when or whether notifications are delivered. You can turn reminders off in Tend's Settings or in the iOS Settings app.

4. Photos, camera and files

Tend uses the photo picker, the document scanner (camera) and the file picker only when you choose to add a photo or document. What you add is stored as described in section 2 and is never uploaded anywhere else.

5. Contacts

When you tap "Import from Contacts", iOS shows its contact picker and gives Tend only the contact you choose. Tend never reads your address book.

6. Widgets and Siri

The Tend widget and Siri shortcuts read your tasks on your device to show and complete them. Nothing is sent to us.

7. Purchases

Tend Pro is a one-time purchase made through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. The app checks your purchase with Apple's StoreKit on your device.

8. Third-party SDKs

Tend contains no analytics frameworks, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services, social-media SDKs, tracking pixels or fingerprinting. It uses only Apple's own frameworks.

9. Children

Tend is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

10. Your rights and deleting data

You're always in control. Delete a home from its profile in the app to remove it from all your devices, or delete the app. To remove data stored in iCloud, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Tend. You can also export a complete backup of any home at any time from Settings.

11. Support requests

If you contact support through our GitHub request form, what you write is posted publicly on GitHub and governed by GitHub's privacy statement. Please don't include personal information in your request.

12. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a material way, we'll update the dates above and show the new policy in the app.
